It’s my favorite time of the year! The Holiday season and I couldn’t think of a better product to introduce to my blog family other than the Aromalief Vegan Pain Relief Cream. The last product review of the year is dedicated to something that’s useful. A product that my fellow subscribers will benefit from reading about. I also wanted to take the chance to shine a light on a woman-owned brand. This will be an honest and transparent review. I was not paid to write any of it.
So, let’s get started…

Full disclosure, I was gifted 3 products from Aromalief a few months ago. I’ve had 2 Rituxan infusion treatments since then and I’ve been testing them for a little over 2 months now. Included in my package were three 2- oz bottles of vegan pain relief cream in the scents: Energizing Orange, Soothing Spearmint, and Calming Lavender. Over the years I’ve used quite a few pain reliefs creams, gels, patches, you name it. I understand what works and I always rate them based on a couple of things. They are:
Ingredients: What’s in this stuff?
Scent: How does it smell?
Feel/Absorption: How does it feel?
Effectiveness: Does it relieve pain?
Let’s talk ingredients…
The first thing we should all be doing when we order a product is reading the ingredients label. What’s in a product is way more important to me these days. We should be more mindful about what we are putting in and on our bodies. Aromalief is cruelty-free and vegan so no worries about this cream containing harmful materials. It is made in an FDA-registered facility and it’s reassuring to know that the best quality ingredients are used.

Aromalief cream contains 1000 mg of hemp and no THC (so no this will not get you high). I think it’s important to talk about the difference between hemp and marijuana briefly because it confuses the girls sometimes. THC is a psychoactive substance that causes a feeling of “high” when you smoke or ingest marijuana. Hemp on the other hand does not have THC. Hemp can be found in seeds, oil, and plants. Aromalief pain cream is made with hemp seed oil that’s taken from the seeds of the plants. This oil is really beneficial because of its anti-inflammatory properties. This article discusses in more depth: “Hemp Cream for Pain”.
Here are some more pain-relieving ingredients included in their cream:

Let’s talk smells…
I’m big on smells. I had the pleasure of smell testing all 3 fragrances from the holiday set. Traditional heavy menthol scented pain gels and creams (i.e. Biofreeze, IcyHot) aren’t my favorite. After the 2nd application, your nose hairs are on fire from the minty scent. Your nose hairs are safe with the Aromalief fragrances. Here’s how I describe each:
- ORANGE GINGER– Citrus, ginger smell that energizes.
- SPEARMINT– Light mint smell. Almost like your favorite Spearmint gum, but less potent.
- LAVENDER– Very mild lavender that doesn’t start to smell weird after application. Very soothing. **This was my favorite fragrance out of all 3**
How does it feel?
Above all, I need my pain relief cream to feel good on my skin. I have sensitive skin and I absolutely despise body products that are sticky and leave a weird residue after you rub it in. Luckily I did not have this issue with the Aromalief cream. The moisture and absorption are amazing. My skin feels satin smooth and moisturized after every application. The Aromalief formula also didn’t irritate my eczema or cause annoying tiny bumps on my chest.

Let’s talk effectiveness…
So does Aromalief work? This product claims to offer relief for those who suffer from muscle, joint, and nerve pain. After 2 months of testing, I can say that it does indeed work. I have used this cream for just about any and every ache and discomfort. Here’s my experience.
As many of you know already, I live with a neuromuscular autoimmune disease called Myasthenia Gravis (MG). ( What is Myasthenia Gravis? ) Oftentimes my voluntary muscles fatigue easily from repetitive use (I.e. Walking, talking, smiling). My muscles get very weak and my body begins to ache. Imagine trying to walk with cinder blocks tied to your ankles or feeling the burn in your thighs without doing squats. In the early testing stages of the Aromalief pain cream; I followed this routine: Massage the cream into my thighs, shoulders, and under my arms in the morning when I first wake up. ( I found that the key was to apply the cream before I started to feel the pain). Then I’d reapply another layer of cream after 4 or 5 hours, making sure to massage it into my muscles (really working the cream into my muscles was essential).

Likewise, I also have pain in my chest from a previous sternotomy and thymectomy surgery. As you can imagine plates in the middle of your chest can be quite uncomfortable, especially while sleeping. The Calming Lavender Aromalief cream before bedtime helps me to get comfortable enough to fall asleep. I’ve also used the cream to ease the pain behind my ears and jaws caused by chronic ear infections. A little pain relief cream on my temples has saved me a world of discomfort from headaches. In short, I use this sh*t on everything! I love this product and would highly recommend it to my chronic pain sufferers.
Other things I love about this brand:
- Woman Owned: Aromalief is a brand for women that want to experience a rich and full life without the worries of pain. The formula was designed by a female chemist. The goal was to relieve pain fast, moisturize, and smell amazing! Made for women by women in the USA. Read more about Aromalief family here
- Vegan/Cruelty free: All of the ingridients are plant-based and not tested on animals.
- Affordable: Alot of us spoonies are not rolling in dough. I appreciate the 2-oz bottles and they always have a promotions or discount codes available. Currently the value sets are on sale Value Sets Here
