Chronically Navigating Through Life

CoCo Shea Natural Body Care Review

April 24, 2020

Welcome back to Ashley’s Anatomy! I had the pleasure of trying out these lovely products sent from Coco Shea Natural Body Care. Here’s my honest review of the following products.

Jojoba Creme Facial Cleanse

This mild extra gentle, non-foaming cleanser is made with soothing Organic Aloe, moisture-boosting Organic Coconut, Jojoba, Grape-seed oil, and Avocado Oils, nourishing Vitamin E, and Organic Neem. This product claims to give a dewy, refreshed clean feeling.

I have eczema and pretty sensitive skin. I love the fact that the Jojoba creme facial cleanser is sensitive enough for everyday use. I also love the fact that it’s great for taking off stubborn makeup at the end of the day. The product claims to give a dewy, refreshed feeling and it does that and more. This is definitely my go-to cleanser now.

Dead Sea Mask with Ylang Ylang & Sweet Orange

This Dea Sea Mask is enriched with certified organic Ylang-Ylang & Sweet Orange essential oils. Fortified with natural extracts of papaya and green tea, your skin will have clarity and a natural glow after one use.

This is absolutely my favorite product out of the entire facial line. The smell is out of this world! I am a fan of the fragrance, it’s not too overpowerful but gives you a relaxing feeling. After using the mask I noticed an instant glow about my skin. As I mentioned I have sensitive skin, this mask doesn’t overly dry out the skin or cause break-outs. I’m a huge fan.

Mineral Sea Face Toner

Essential’s Sea Mineral Facial Toner is made with purifying Fine Sea Salt and with Organic Kelp, and Organic Blue-Green Algae, it’s a skin-loving tidal wave!

I have used a ton of toners in my day. I appreciate that this toner includes organic kelp and algae. I was not familiar with these two ingredients but their benefits are great! I’m not a huge fan of the smell but it’s bearable. It’s also worth mentioning that the toner slightly tingles after application. All in all another awesome product.

Youthful Facial Serum

This serum is the final step of the skincare line. With ingredients like aloe leaf and hyaluronic acid, this the last leg of CoCo Shea’s skincare system will leave your skin feeling youthful and vibrant.

The Youthful Facial Serum claims to leave the skin vibrant and feeling youthful. I’m not 100% sure if these claims are true, but I do believe that my skin feels plumper and looks brighter after application.

❄️ June is Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month! 🎀 M ❄️ June is Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month! 🎀

Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is a rare autoimmune neuromuscular disease that causes muscle weakness and fatigue by disrupting communication between the nerves and muscles.

Symptoms can include:
✨ Drooping eyelids
✨ Double vision
✨ Difficulty speaking or swallowing
✨ Weakness in the arms and legs
✨ Shortness of breath
✨ Extreme fatigue

MG is often invisible, unpredictable, and misunderstood, but for those of us living with it, the impact is very real.
This month, I’m helping spread awareness, sharing my journey, and amplifying the voices of others in the MG community 🩷

💗 June is Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month, and i 💗 June is Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month, and it only feels right to share what I’ve been navigating behind the scenes.

What started as the flu quickly spiraled into one of the most severe MG exacerbations I’ve experienced. Within days, I found myself in the ICU fighting to regain strength to breathe & walk comfortably.

✨This carousel walks through my timeline, treatments, and what recovery has looked like so far. ℹ️I’m unable to get IVIG for MG emergencies ✨

🩸 PLEX is a procedure that removes blood from the body, separates out the plasma containing harmful antibodies, and returns the blood with replacement fluids. For MG’ers it can help remove the antibodies that attack communication between nerves and muscles.
